Mortgage Buddies

New this week is our 'Mortgage Buddies' page. This is a new concept in property buying.
It's sometimes difficult these days to get on the property ladder, but it's easier than you may think.

The idea of sharing a mortgage may not appeal to everyone but for some, it could be the perfect way to buy a new property.
The way it works is quite simple really, place a FREE ad on our 'Mortgage Buddies' page and let like-minded people know that you are interested in buying a new property by 'sharing ' the costs of purchase. There are advantages and disadvantages to this way of property purchase; the advantages are 1. You can afford to buy a property that you otherwise wouldn't have thought possible before 2. All the costs are shared between the participating partners 3. If you have a good credit rating there should be no problem finding a mortgage.
The disadvantages are; 1. You may not know your propspective 'Buddie' so you will have to check each other out before deciding to go ahead with the commitment 2. You won't know your prospective 'Buddies' credit history so it's as well to try to check this out also 3. All partners to a mortgage agreement are liable for the repayments - even if one partner doesn't pay or leaves.

But think of buying a property which maybe has several floors which can be made into self-contained flats and you may have a good investment for the future. If you're willing to take on a commitment such as this, you could end up making a tidy profit on your investment where you couldn't even contemplate buying a property on your own otherwise.

If you like the idea of maybe owning a 'mansion' or a 'loft' in a smart part of town try advertising to see what kind of like-minded people are out there. Visit our 'Mortgage Buddies' page and register your interest with us for FREE!

New LHAs Powers

12 July 2006

It seems, as reported in some newspapers today, that local councils can now seize privately-owned homes which have stood empty for 6 months.

The ‘Local Housing Authorities’ have been instructed by Mr Prescott’s department to ‘grab’ these properties under new powers drawn up by his department.

The report is available for download here

We strongly advise anyone who has, or may have in the future, a property empty for six months or more, to download this report and study it carefully. The report is available in PDF™ format and is 45 pages long. It could save you a lot of heartache later on by being aware of these new Local Housing Authority powers.

We welcome your comments on this or any other property-related issues.

Ivy's News blog is born!!

Welcome to Ivy's News blog.

This is the forum of 'Ivy Leaf Properties.Com' . We are an online property advertising resource based in the UK, where you can advertise your property for sale or rent both private and commercial for as little as Nothing!! Or you may be searching for a property to rent or buy.

We are a new resource and the reason that we set up this site is because the cost of selling a property is continually rising. In the UK, it's set to become even more expensive when the new 'H.I.P.s' (Home Information Packs) become law in June 2007. It's reported to cost from £500 - £3,000 depending on the size of your property. As a house seller, you will be liable to a fine if you don't have one - it's been reported that the fine could be around £200 per day!

All of this and the other costs involved in selling a house, the stress and time it takes to arrange everything is enough to drive anyone mad. So we decided to do something about it by giving you a cheaper more manageable way to sell or rent your property and Ivy Leaf Properties.Com was born.

Of course we charge for some of our services, we've got to eat, and the tax man wants his cut. But we want you to have an alternative and cheaper way - I know, I've sold a house myself just recently and it cost a fortune!
It may not suit everyone, some folks may want to let someone else handle the sale and be willing to pay large sums of cash to do it. That's ok, but now you know that there is another way - far cheaper and easier to manage why not give us a try?

I predict that before too long, you will see more sites like ours on the 'net. It's the only way to go.

We love 'IVY' and we hope you will too! We want your feedback on any issue concerning house selling/purchasing or related stuff, so why not join us on the Blog and add your views, tell us your nightmares or get advice from other bloggers?

Meanwhile, why not visit us at: http://www.ivyleafproperties.com and see what we can offer.
Check out the 'Downloads' page to get the submission form which will give you an idea of how cheap it can be to advertise your property.

Hope to hear from you soon,

'Ivy'
